Call for submissions to BWW’s Poetry Path ‘24!
Submissions are now closed for 2024! Thanks to everyone who submitted. We will let everyone when the poetry path is up and ready for you to walk.
Great news! The Intervale Center, host for last year’s Poetry Path, has invited us back for a repeat performance. 20 graphically designed panels displaying bite-sized poems will again be installed amidst the trees along a portion of the Calkins Trail in Burlington’s Intervale, conveniently located just one mile from the city’s downtown.
Submissions are welcome from all BWW members. New this year, the public is also invited to submit. If you’re new to BWW and want to send us a bite-size poem, haiku, or poetic fragment, just take a moment to fill out this form – it’s free and easy and we’d love to see your work.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
This year’s theme: ROOTS!
Poems should resonate in harmony with some part of the Intervale Center’s mission: to respect the wild, sustain the land, and nourish the people!
• Total number of submissions: three poems
• 180 characters maximum (i.e. the total of letters, spaces, and punctuation).
85 characters is ideal. “Brevity is the soul of wit.” (i.e. shorter is better!) Note: these are guidelines only. Line placement on the panel is also a factor – poems must be easily legible to walkers below.
• Deadline for submission: midnight June 15th
