The water is gone, and the Poetry Path is ready for you!
We’re thrilled to announce that the all-new Poetry Path 2024 is back in the Intervale, bringing a sprinkle of whimsy to your woodland strolls. Discover fourteen bite-sized poems, selected from our talented Burlington Writers Workshop members, nestled among the trees along the Calkins Trail.
This year’s theme is “Roots,” reflecting the Intervale Center’s commitment to nature and community. As you wander, look up and let the poetry come to life against the backdrop of the forest.
DIRECTIONS:
- Take Riverside Avenue to Intervale Road.
- Pass Gardeners Supply, continue past the Intervale Center, and park in the second ‘Visitor Parking’ space.
- Follow the path to the large sign: WELCOME TO THE INTERVALE CENTER, and walk a short distance to the Calkins Trail entrance.
NB: After recent rains, mosquitoes are out in full force – don’t forget your repellent!
