Time to send in your piece
It’s that time of year again, to look back over your work or maybe write something new – and send it in to Cold Lake Anthology.
Submissions are open to ACTIVE BWW members only. What does active mean? It means you participate and show up – at meetings, committees, workshops, events. Any and all these qualify you as an Active Member.
We’re very excited for the 2026 edition because CLA is getting its own webpage to promote the books, the writers, the staff, and a few surprises. It’s being created as we speak. This would be a great year to submit your piece to be included in the anthology.
Rules:
Each author may ONLY submit one of the following per year:
– maximum 5000 word fiction piece
– maximum 5000 word creative nonfiction piece
– maximum three poems
Submissions will close at midnight March 31st, but we reserve the right to close submission earlier if we reach our submission limits. So don’t wait. Send in your stuff today!
Please remove all identifying information from your piece. Your file is tagged with your name and email. It will not get lost. In order for the readers to review your piece, we have to remove all identifying information, so please don’t include it.
This year we are also collecting cover art at the same time. Your painting, drawing, photograph, collage, or other artwork could be just what we need to bind together this year’s selections. (And it doesn’t have to be just a cold lake.) We accept high resolution images (300 DPI or 1500×2100 pixels minimum) in any medium.
